14th Annual WAC Lighting Invitational Science Fair Hosted by Research Association

The Research Association of Long Island recently wrapped up the 2024 WAC Lighting Invitational Science Fair at Syosset High School, providing nearly 500 high school students the chance to showcase their research to a panel of distinguished judges from top institutions. Celebrating its 14th year, the event emphasized high-level scientific discussions between students and experts, highlighting research in categories like Earth Science, Biochemistry, and Engineering. Awards, including scholarships for winners, will be distributed, with judges from organizations such as Brookhaven National Laboratory and Columbia University participating. Supported by the WAC Lighting Foundation, the fair plays a vital role in nurturing young scientists, many of whom have gone on to prestigious universities.
