A stunning new Christmas lights display, titled “The canopy of Light,” has been unveiled in Norwich’s Hay Hill, showcasing 32,000 LED bulbs in a design inspired by “dancing snowflakes in a winter landscape.” Launched as part of the city’s Festive Switch-On event, the display features 1.6 miles of LED lighting, powered by renewable energy, marking a significant step in festive decor technology in the UK. Stefan Gurney, the executive director of Norwich business Improvement District, emphasized the goal of creating a dynamic experience that offers awe and varied perspectives. The new display replaces the previous Tunnel of Light, which featured 57,000 lights and was considered among the largest of its kind in Europe.
