Construction of the Saxon Hill sports Complex is progressing on Jericho Hill in Alfred, New York, with an architectural animated video recently released to visualize the future facilities. Deb Steward, Associate Vice President for Student Experience, expressed excitement about the project’s potential impact on students and the community. Currently in the site development phase, the project is set to begin building construction in March and aims for completion by early 2026. The complex will feature a variety of sports facilities, including a turf baseball field, an eight-lane track, and multi-purpose fields, which are expected to boost student enrollment by approximately 170 in the first six years. LeChase Construction is managing the development, with design by CPL and various subcontractors involved in construction tasks. The $30 million project is funded through bonds and donations, with opportunities for community contributions still available.
