Welcome to Lightfair International my fellow lighting enthusiasts. I look forward to this momentous and vibrant occasion every year. This year’s Lightfair convention is located in Las Vegas Nevada, a place that is already so overwhelmed with bright and exciting lights, that I already feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven.
Over the next few days I will be breaking a major rule. A Vegas faux pas if you will. They say that ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’; but I simply can’t resist. I will be updating everyone with some of the brightest and best new lighting products that will be coming out this year! Recent trends in LED and solid-state lighting have pushed lighting innovation harder than ever, hopefully resulting in some new and beautiful fixtures!
First up we have emergency lighting and exit signs!
For the first time ever, exit signs with emergency lighting has gone 100% LED! In the past, a few LED’s illuminated the lit area behind the EXIT letters while the emergency floodlights were halogen. This implementation of LEDs is further reducing energy costs, and eliminates the need for replacing lamps and checking the battery backup. This new series of high performance full LED exit signs will be available soon. See a feel line of EXIT lighting here!
