OMNIVISION Broadens TheiaCel Line with New 12MP Image Sensor Designed for LED Flicker-Free Automotive Cameras

OMNIVISION has launched its OX12A10 12-megapixel CMOS image sensor, the highest resolution in its TheiaCel product family, at the AutoSens Europe 2024 conference in Barcelona. This advanced sensor utilizes the new a-CSP+ ultra-small packaging technology, improving automotive safety through enhanced resolution and image quality under various lighting conditions. Designed specifically for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving, the OX12A10 combines high resolution with features like excellent low-light performance and LED flicker mitigation. With a compact design and set for mass production in Q3 2025, the sensor aims to meet the demands of next-generation automotive machine vision applications.
