Government Allocates Over €7 Million in Grants to 67 Kildare Clubs and Organizations
A total of 67 clubs and sporting organizations in Kildare have been awarded €7,588,504 in funding from the Community sports Facility Fund, which was formerly known as the Sports Capital Fund. This funding includes €6,601,908 allocated to 62 local clubs, in addition to €986,596 designated for five groups under equipment and regional grants. The investments aim to enhance local sporting facilities, allowing for significant improvements such as upgraded playing and training surfaces, floodlights, and other infrastructure developments that will benefit communities throughout County Kildare. Minister of State Martin Heydon praised the funding as a recognition of the essential work done by local sports clubs and volunteers.
