At a recent meeting of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority’s planning committee, it was determined that the lighting along internal roads at Aysgarth Lodge Holidays must be reduced in intensity to better align with the authority’s Dark Skies Initiative. The committee highlighted that the current use of 6,000K bulbs in 49 bollards does not meet the guidelines set for minimizing light pollution in the area. This decision emphasizes the importance of preserving the natural night sky environment, a key priority for the National Park.
