The Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital’s annual holiday spirit was ignited on Monday with the lighting of its 18-foot Rockefeller-inspired Christmas tree, sponsored for the first time by the JGL Group of Companies with a generous $25,000 auction bid at the recent Festival of Trees. This tradition, part of the Moose Jaw Health Foundation’s efforts, raises funds that will be used to acquire advanced bronchoscopy equipment for the hospital, a project bolstered by the festival’s total of $184,832 raised in October. The event saw a large turnout from the JGL Group employees and their families, creating a festive atmosphere that executive director Kelly McElree described as magical, especially for the hospital’s patients and families visiting during the holiday season. Over the years, the holiday tree initiative has raised more than $191,000, providing critical medical equipment to enhance patient care.
