Lac La Biche has unveiled its latest park enhancement with a festive lighting display at McArthur Park, which is currently undergoing a $10 million revamp over three years. Nearly one-third of the park’s small trees and shrubs have been decorated with holiday lights, marking the first time the county has added such illuminations to local parks. The lights, which took about four to five days to install, are designed to brighten the recreational space and are powered continuously without timers, utilizing energy-efficient LED bulbs that consume 75% less energy. The holiday lights were activated in mid-November and will remain lit until at least after Ukrainian Christmas, with potential future expansions planned for other municipal parks.
