The annual Christmas Walk in downtown Iron Mountain kicked off with festivities led by Santa and Mrs. Claus, who helped illuminate the Community Christmas Tree at the First National Bank & Trust’s outdoor plaza on Friday evening. As part of the celebrations, Santa and Mrs. Claus welcomed children at the Dickinson County Library, where young Saylor Blank expressed her Christmas wish for slime. The event, sponsored by First National Bank & Trust in collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority, aimed to bring holiday cheer to the community. Residents are encouraged to suggest festive photo ideas for The Daily News’ “Countdown to Christmas” by contacting the publication directly.
