Coventry to Invest £10 Million in LED Street Lighting Enhancement

The council is considering a proposal to implement LED street lighting across the city following a successful trial in the Hillfields area, which received positive feedback from residents. A full council meeting is scheduled for January 14 to discuss the plans. This comes after a controversial decision earlier this year to turn off street lights on over 2,500 city streets from midnight to 4:00-5:00 AM, which faced significant backlash, resulting in a petition with over 1,000 signatures calling for the reinstatement of the lights.
