Johnsburg has canceled its Holiday Magic Parade, initially set for Saturday evening, due to unfavorable weather conditions that forecast rain and potential icy conditions. Despite milder temperatures in the mid-30s, the rainy outlook raised concerns about safety and the overall enjoyment of the event, which included tree-lighting and fireworks. Village officials announced they are exploring options for an alternative holiday event on December 20, allowing families to still engage in activities like meeting Santa and participating in holiday crafts. Assistant Village Administrator Vinny Lamontagna expressed regret over the cancellation, indicating that the village had been prepared for colder weather but could not proceed given the current forecast. Further updates will be communicated to the community through “North Pole networks.”
