Colorado Introduces a New ‘Dark Sky’ Park

As of December 2024, Colorado is home to 17 designated International Dark Sky places, highlighting its breathtaking night sky that attracts residents and tourists alike. With the recent certification of Browns Canyon National Monument in Southern Colorado as an International Dark Sky Park, the state now boasts 11 certified parks along with six additional dark sky areas, all recognized for their minimal light pollution.
