Selectronic and Hongli Zhihui Partner with Epistar for Development of Automotive Products
Selectronic, a UK-based LED specialist, has entered a $75 million collaboration agreement with Chinese LED packager Hongli Zhuihui to enhance the development of LED automotive products, in partnership with Taiwanese company Epistar. As part of this strategic alliance, Hongli will acquire Epistar’s patented automotive LED chips, which will facilitate the production of automotive lighting solutions. The partnership, set to last until October 2021, aims to leverage resources from all parties involved, helping to reduce costs while securing Hongli’s products against patent infringements. Managing Director Kevin Dry emphasized that this alliance is designed to accelerate the companies’ expansion into the automotive sector while ensuring high-quality components.
