Stanley Deason Leisure Centre Unveils New High-Tech Flooring Just in Time for the Holidays

Visitors to the Stanley Deason Leisure Centre are celebrating an early Christmas surprise with the installation of a new state-of-the-art flooring in the sports hall. After more than 40 years of use, the old granwood floor has been replaced with a durable seamless polyurethane surface, known as Pulastic flooring, ideal for various sports activities. Funded by Brighton & Hove City Council and supported by Freedom Leisure, the £34,000 upgrade also includes new court markings and improved LED lighting. Councillor Alan Robins expressed his delight at the timely renovation, emphasizing the council’s commitment to enhancing local sports facilities as part of a 10-year Sports Facilities Investment Plan. Residents can now enjoy a safer and more comfortable space for sports and activities.
