St. Bernard Port Enhances Historical Smokestack with New LED Lighting

The St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District has completed significant refurbishments to the historic “former Kaiser” Smokestack, a nearly 500-foot structure that has stood for 60 years. The restoration has involved repairing essential features such as ladders and four catwalks, as well as installing new Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) LED lights to enhance visibility. These upgrades not only preserve the industrial landmark but also bolster its prominence as a notable feature of the St. Bernard Port.
