The Florida Panthers have announced a series of significant upgrades to the Amerant Bank arena in Sunrise, FL, ensuring their longevity in the venue with a lease extension until 2043. Key enhancements will include a new scoreboard, set for installation by the 2025-26 season, and substantial renovations to the upper deck, which has remained largely unchanged since the arena’s inception nearly 30 years ago. A notable transformation will take place in the shoot-twice end zone, where approximately 1,400 seats will be removed to create a viewing deck, reminiscent of the one introduced by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Although this will slightly reduce the arena’s overall capacity, team officials emphasize that it will enhance the fan experience. Recent improvements already implemented this season include state-of-the-art facilities, advanced HVAC systems, and enhanced ice quality technology.
