At CES 2025, TECNO unveiled its innovative ‘Starry Optical Fiber Technology,’ which integrates ultra-fine optical fibers with mini-LED lights in smartphone battery covers, showcasing advances in device design through cutting-edge materials. The technology features 150 optical fibers, each only 0.125mm in diameter, intricately woven through 36 holes in the cover and affixed with UV adhesive, resulting in a fabric-like appearance. Coupled with 108 mini-LED lights, this system creates a striking display while optimizing power consumption and enhancing heat dissipation, thus improving overall performance. The versatility of this technology could extend beyond smartphones to tablets and other devices.
