Enhanced Lighting System Greenlit for McCall Park

At a recent meeting on January 7, the Effingham County Board of Commissioners announced the approval of a Musco sports Lighting proposal to enhance McCall Park in Rincon with advanced LED lighting systems for its softball fields. This installation, which includes walkway lighting, promises durable performance with low maintenance needs and a 25-year warranty on materials and labor. The project is part of the county’s initiative to improve recreational facilities and foster community engagement. In addition, the board unanimously elected District 3 Commissioner Jamie DeLoach as vice chairman for 2025, approved new members for the Planning Board, and appointed Traci Wells to the Board of Assessors to fill an unexpired term.
