This recognition guarantees that future generations will be able to enjoy the stunning views of the Milky Way, as Gower is one of the last regions in South Wales with genuinely dark skies. The application for this status was a joint effort involving local councils, government agencies, and environmental groups, showcasing a commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship.
