Mississippi State Athletics has announced plans to upgrade the lighting at Davis Wade stadium with a new LED system set to debut for the 2025 football season. The custom-designed lighting, created by Techline sports Lighting, aims to enhance the game-day experience for fans and players alike, offering cleaner, more uniform illumination as well as color-changing effects. Athletics Director Zac Selmon emphasized the commitment to providing a premier game-day atmosphere, while head football coach Jeff Lebby noted the improvements in visibility and the creation of a vibrant atmosphere for home games. This marks the first lighting upgrade since 2010 for the historic stadium, which was built in 1914, and reflects ongoing efforts to elevate Mississippi State’s football program. The project will also feature energy-efficient instant on/off capabilities, improving both live and televised viewing experiences.
