RUF, renowned for its bespoke high-performance sports cars inspired by Porsche designs, has expanded its offerings to include a new LED lighting kit specifically for the 993 Porsche 911 models. This upgrade enhances the car’s aesthetics and visibility, featuring modern projector headlights, fog lights, and LED tail lights designed in collaboration with noted car designer Tony Hatter. The new lighting system promises brighter illumination—up to three times more than the original—while meeting legal standards in both the U.S. and Europe. However, this upgrade comes at a steep price, with U.S. kits costing approximately $8,706 and European versions exceeding $10,000, making it the priciest modification available from RUF for the 993. While some of RUF’s parts are more affordable, the high cost of these new lights may make them a luxury reserved for enthusiastic collectors.
