The incident occurred in the 38th over at Gaddafi stadium, raising alarms over the stadium’s inadequate floodlighting, which many believe contributed to the mishap. Ravindra received immediate medical attention for a laceration and passed an initial Head Injury Assessment, though he will continue to be monitored. The injury has ignited a backlash against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding stadium safety, with fans on social media calling for improved lighting, particularly ahead of the upcoming Champions Trophy. New Zealand ultimately triumphed over Pakistan by 78 runs, with Ravindra scoring 25 runs prior to his injury.
