Knox Park’s Athletics Track in Knoxfield has reopened to the public following a transformative $5.1 million redevelopment, accomplished in collaboration with the Victorian Government. The upgraded facility, a hub for local clubs and over 90 school athletic carnivals annually, now features an improved running track surface, renewed footpaths, upgraded LED sports lighting, additional shade sails, a new scoreboard, and a modern PA system. With opening hours from 5am to 9pm daily, the track is designed to accommodate users of all ages and abilities, marking a significant enhancement for the local athletic community. Phillip Bateman, Knox Athletics Board Secretary and Treasurer, praised the renovations, emphasizing the track’s world-class quality.
