A generous $565,000 donation from Penn State alumni William and Wendy Korb will establish a permanent fund dedicated to research and innovative teaching in the School of Engineering at Penn State Behrend. This gift aims to enhance faculty and student professional development, improve teaching and research labs, and support new teaching methods. Chancellor Ralph Ford emphasized that the funding will lead to immediate facility upgrades and improved undergraduate research experiences, helping attract and retain dedicated faculty. In recognition of the Korbs’ ongoing support, the lobby of the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Center has been named the Korb Family Atrium. The couple has a history of philanthropy at Penn State, including establishing scholarships and professorships, as they believe investment in education is vital for long-term success.
