The St. Petersburg City Council has approved $23 million for repairs to the roof of Tropicana Field, which was damaged during Hurricane Milton last October. The funding will be used for the fabrication, delivery, and installation of a Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) roof membrane, with the replacement projected to be completed by December 2025. This initiative follows a previous approval for pre-construction services related to the emergency roof replacement project, paving the way for contractors to begin the construction phase. In addition to roof repairs, the city plans to tackle various interior updates and turf installation, aiming for all renovations to be finished by April 2026. The City Council is also set to vote on four interior repair packages this summer.
