PWI has introduced a PMA-approved LED downwash cabin lighting system for Lear 60 and 60XR jets, effectively replacing the outdated fluorescent light tubes and power inverters. This new system utilizes the original wiring of the aircraft for a quicker and easier installation, powered by the airplaneās 28V supply, which eliminates the high-voltage issues associated with fluorescent lights. The LED system boasts significant advantages, including instant-on cold weather performance, reduced electrical interference, no maintenance needs, and a remarkable 100,000-hour service life. PWIās president, Robi Lorik, emphasized that this upgrade enhances the cabin experience for passengers while also renewing the functionality of older business jets, including models from Citation, Falcon, and Hawker/Beechjet. The LED lighting system comes with a three-year warranty and is available for purchase through PWIās authorized dealers.
