DPAO Receives National LED Lighting Upgrade as Part of Sonepar’s ‘Bright Lites, Bright Future’ Initiative

The Disabled Persons Action Organization (DPAO) in Watertown, NY, has been awarded the “Bright Lites, Bright Future” grant from Sonepar USA, one of only three nonprofits selected nationwide for this initiative. Chosen from over 440 Sonepar-affiliated locations, DPAO, as the Eastern Region winner, will benefit from a comprehensive LED lighting upgrade at its facilities. This program aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance safety for staff and visitors. The initiative, supported by local companies and a contractor, has already resulted in a 50% reduction in energy usage and modernized lighting systems, which include a five-year warranty. The lighting retrofit underscores Sonepar’s commitment to supporting impactful community organizations, with DPAO recognized for its valuable contributions to the local community.
