Jersey’s refurbished Opera House is facing scrutiny following an expert report that labeled its lighting system as “unethical” due to excessive electricity consumption. It recommended transitioning to a full LED lighting rig, warning that reliance on outdated equipment could lead to public outcry in the wake of recent renovations. The Opera House has recognized the need for additional funding to upgrade its lighting system and is committed to further investments in its conservation.
