Hanon Systems has been awarded its third PACE Award for its innovative visible-light LED photocatalyst technology, which significantly enhances in-vehicle air quality by achieving a 98.5% virus sterilization rate and a 97.5% deodorization performance. This recognition, presented at a ceremony in Detroit on April 15, 2025, marks Hanon as the first Korean supplier to receive this accolade. The technology, which operates without emitting harmful electromagnetic waves or ozone, can eliminate odors and microorganisms from both internal and external sources, making it a safer alternative to conventional ionizers. Currently implemented in Hyundai’s G90 sedan, Hanon’s solution is also being considered by other global automakers. The company, a leader in thermal management solutions, continues to focus on developing technologies that improve well-being and redefine the driving experience, further solidifying its reputation in the automotive industry.
