The Barnard family is once again transforming their home into a dazzling holiday display, featuring vibrant LED lights and hand-painted festive scenes created by their son, Ben. With a history of extravagant decorations, Mrs. Barnard expresses that it would feel unusual not to continue this tradition. Despite the extensive lighting, Mr. Barnard assures that the electricity costs remain low due to the energy-efficient LED bulbs. In 2023, the family’s efforts brought in £1,700 through visitor donations, with hopes of surpassing that amount this year. The display will officially open this Saturday at 18:30 GMT, with Conservative MP Wendy Morton in attendance, and will be accessible to the public every evening from 18:00 to 20:00 until Christmas Eve.
