Apple Accelerates Development of Its Own Robotics Initiative!

Apple is ramping up its robotics research and development initiatives, focusing primarily on desktop robots while leaving the door open for future humanoid robot projects, according to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The effort is spearheaded by the hardware engineering team Home Labs and an AI team led by Kevin Lynch, both of which evolved from Apple’s previous autonomous vehicle division. Recently, the company has listed several job openings for robotics experts, indicating a commitment to innovation in this field. Notably, a recent prototype resembling a lamp showcased interactive features, such as responding to user inquiries and performing actions in sync with music. Furthermore, Gurman revealed that Apple is developing a more advanced desktop robot designed to integrate a display similar to an iPad, which will be operated mainly via the voice assistant Siri.
