Bowman Gray Stadium Gears Up for Upcoming Facility Enhancements

Bowman Gray stadium is making significant upgrades in preparation for the NASCAR Cup Series race scheduled for 2025. The improvements include the installation of a new Musco LED lighting system, funded by the North Carolina Motorsports Relief Fund, which will feature advanced controls for light shows and synchronization with music. Work is set to begin in December, alongside the ongoing installation of SAFER barriers, which are expected to be completed by early January. NASCAR executive Ben Kennedy emphasized the importance of these enhancements for showcasing the stadium as a premier venue, while Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines expressed excitement about the event’s potential to elevate the community’s profile. The stadium will host the NASCAR Clash in February, marking the return of Cup Series racing to Bowman Gray since 1971.
