Brooklyn Park’s planning commission has recommended the approval of two significant developments: a new 64,488-square-foot fire station and an 88,000-square-foot speculative industrial building within the 610 Junction business park. City staff noted the current station fails to meet modern design standards, prompting the need for an upgrade. Meanwhile, the proposed industrial building will support one or multiple tenants and is positioned for solar capability as well. Both projects are slated for further review by the City Council on April 28.
