Camp Verde Council Greenlights Lighting Installation for Sports Complex

On March 19, the Camp Verde Town Council approved a $311,920 contract with Voss Lighting of Phoenix to enhance lighting at the Camp Verde sports Complex. The contract allocates $94,950 for walkway lighting and $216,970 for parking lot lighting, with an emphasis on solar solutions. Capital Improvements Project Manager Martin Smith highlighted the advantages of solar lighting, citing durability and longevity suited for the Arizona climate. The installation will include nine solar lights along the pedestrian walkway and 15 dual light poles in the parking lot, addressing safety concerns over visibility. Smith noted that installation is expected to take about ten days and expressed concerns about fluctuating material costs due to federal tariff policies. The council unanimously approved the contract.
