Ceredigion Caravan Park Recognized with Green Business of the Year Award

Bargoed Farm, a family-run caravan park in Ceredigion, has been awarded NatWest Cymru’s ‘Green business of the Year’ for its exemplary commitment to sustainability. Since opening in 2017, owners Geraint and Christine Thomas have implemented numerous eco-friendly initiatives, including the largest battery storage facility in the UK, which harnesses energy from solar panels, and a recycling center built from old farm equipment. The park features electric car charging points, uses electric vehicles for site transport, and emphasizes local sourcing in its farm shop and bistro. In expressing their gratitude for the recognition, the Thomases highlighted their commitment to becoming carbon neutral and supporting other businesses in their sustainability journeys. NatWest Cymru commended Bargoed Farm for its integrated approach to sustainable practices and its role in fostering environmental responsibility in Wales.
