The Albanese and Cook Governments, in partnership with the Shire of Manjimup, have completed a significant lighting upgrade at Rea Park and Collier Street, enhancing local sporting infrastructure in Western Australia’s south-west. Officially opened by Labor Senator Varun Ghosh and Shire President Donelle Buegge, this nearly $1.7 million project features new LED lighting across all sporting fields, promoting safety and greater flexibility for local clubs to host training sessions and competitions. The upgrade is part of a broader $20 million redevelopment aimed at transforming the reserve into a premier facility for community events. Funding for this project included contributions from the Australian Government, the WA Government, and Cricket Australia. Local officials emphasized the importance of these improvements for community engagement and sporting opportunities.
