Contract Approved for Upgrade of Western Oval Lighting at Tatura Park

The Greater Shepparton City Council has awarded a $289,200 contract to DeAraugo and Lea Electrical Contractors Pty Ltd for a significant lighting upgrade at Tatura Park’s Western Oval, as announced during the October Council Meeting. The project will involve the installation of four new light poles equipped with advanced 100 LUX LED sports field lighting, aimed at enhancing the current inadequate lighting for winter Australian Rules football training. This upgrade will not only support various activities such as football, cricket, and community events but is also expected to boost community engagement and attract major events to the Greater Shepparton region. Funded by the Victorian Government through the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund, the project marks a vital investment in Tatura’s sports infrastructure, with efforts being made to minimize disruption during the installation phase.
