Designer Street Lights Set to Brighten City Roads

Prayagraj is set to undergo a significant transformation as the city prepares to welcome devotees and tourists for the upcoming Maha Kumbh. In an effort to beautify the roads and enhance the spiritual atmosphere, the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation will install designer LED street lights along 23 major roads, six railway overbridges (ROBs), and one flyover, at a cost of approximately Rs 2.51 crore. These lights will feature colorful motifs inspired by various religious symbols like conches, chakras, and tridents, reflecting the cultural significance of their locations. The project, which aims to illuminate the city with visually appealing designs reminiscent of those in the state capital, is expected to be completed by November 30, with installation to begin next month.
