Dr. Martin Moore-Ede, a leading expert in circadian rhythm regulation and a former professor at Harvard Medical School, has dedicated his career to understanding the impact of light on human biology. Notably, he located the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), the brain’s biological clock, and founded the consulting firm Circadian to aid people in adapting to non-traditional work hours. In response to concerns about the health risks associated with artificial lighting, he established the Circadian Light Research Center in 2010, where he developed innovative circadian lighting that adjusts from blue-rich light during the day to zero blue light at night. His latest book, “The Light Doctor,” sheds light on the health crises linked to poor lighting design while offering solutions for healthier lighting practices. With a distinguished academic background and several patents in circadian systems, Dr. Moore-Ede continues to influence the field of health and lighting.
