KaikÅura district has recently been designated as New Zealand’s newest Dark Sky Sanctuary, celebrated for its exceptionally low light pollution that offers a stunning view of the starry night sky, recognized for both its scientific and cultural significance. While this accolade brings excitement to the region, it also necessitates adjustments regarding artificial lighting.
