Energizer Partners with Ascent Solar to Provide Solar Lights for Rural Households
Energizer has partnered with Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. to donate 13 million hours of solar light in collaboration with the global nonprofit organization One Million Lights. This initiative will utilize Ascent’s innovative flexible thin-film solar technology to supply solar panels for rechargeable lanterns and area lights aimed at benefiting rural families in developing countries. Unlike conventional solar solutions, Ascent’s CIGS technology is lightweight, portable, and rugged, ensuring reliable lighting in challenging conditions. The solar lights will empower families by providing safe, cost-effective illumination for nighttime activities such as working and studying, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.
