The Allan Labor Government in Victoria is investing millions to enhance and construct new local sports facilities, with funding applications now open for the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund (RCSIF) and the 2024-25 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund (LSIF). Announced by Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence, these funds aim to support regional and metropolitan communities in developing essential sports infrastructure, including indoor stadiums, aquatic facilities, and accessibility improvements for participants with disabilities. The RCSIF, which has already allocated over $20 million to 26 projects, offers additional grants of up to $50,000 specifically for enhancing participation for individuals with disabilities. Since 2014, the Labor Government has invested more than $2.3 billion in community sport infrastructure to foster greater participation and accessibility. Applications for both funding streams will remain open until mid-March 2025. For more information, visit sport.vic.gov.au/funding.
