Get Ready to Play! Exciting Sports Events at Arkinstall Park
baseball has made a triumphant return to Tweed Heads with the completion of new facilities at Arkinstall Park, featuring two baseball diamonds and training fields, thanks to a $325,000 investment from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund. The Northern Rivers Baseball Association will now host age competitions for children and youths aged 4 to 15. Additionally, the park has upgraded its soccer fields with energy-efficient LED lighting funded by the Regional sports Facility Fund and Tweed Shire Council, which will save up to 40% in energy costs. The Council also appointed Voyager as the new operator of the Regional tennis Centre, and a new $825,000 netball amenities building is set to enhance facilities in time for the 2025 season. These developments aim to support and promote sports within the community.
