Grodan Partners with Signify for Upcoming Round of Research Trials

Grodan and Signify are collaborating on a second research trial at Botany, Netherlands, focusing on optimizing year-round tomato cultivation with enhanced energy efficiency. Running until the end of April, the trial will explore various strategies, including spectral dimming of LED lights, advanced climate screens for greater thermal insulation, and innovative fertigation and irrigation management. Experts emphasize a holistic approach that separately manages light, heat, and humidity to improve overall crop performance and optimize production quality. The trial aims to demonstrate how these energy-efficient measures can further enhance plant growth and fruit yield, building on insights gained from their previous trials.
