The Town of Clarkstown is actively enhancing its sports facilities, with significant upgrades underway at the former Rockland Country Day School and Germonds Park. A new 73,000 square foot natural grass multi-sport field, suitable for lacrosse, soccer, and football, has been completed at the former school, while construction is also in progress at Germonds Park to improve existing baseball and softball fields, along with the addition of a new artificial turf multi-purpose field. These developments aim to meet the increasing demand for playing spaces, providing more resilient and accessible options for both youth and adult sports leagues. The initiatives reflect the Town’s commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities for residents while being fiscally responsible. Completion of these projects is anticipated between 2025 and 2026, promising long-term benefits for the community.
