Improved Lighting Installed at Ken Allen Field

The City of Fremantle has secured a $108,798 grant from the state government’s Club Night Lights Program to enhance lighting at Ken Allen Field in Beaconsfield. This funding will enable the installation of 100 lux LED floodlights on two rectangular pitches, which are currently limited by inadequate lighting for winter sports training after sunset. The upgraded lighting will facilitate both formal and informal competitions and expand recreational opportunities at Hilton Park. This initiative aligns with the recently adopted Hilton Park Masterplan, reflecting a commitment to community sport and the use of sustainable lighting technology.
