Johns Creek Unveils LED Lighting at Ocee Park

On February 21, Johns Creek Parks and Recreation officials celebrated the completion of the Ocee Park baseball Field’s Lighting Project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Jillian Phillips, vice chair of the Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee and a parent of a player at the park, emphasized the project’s long-term investment in the community. The new LED lighting replaces a 20-year-old halogen system, offering improved safety with uniform lighting levels and reduced light spillage. The efficiency of LED lights allows for remote monitoring and less frequent replacements, significantly lowering maintenance costs. The $850,000 project aligns with the City Council’s strategic priorities for enhancing local parks and recreation facilities.
