Mayor Clive Tolley hailed the recent renovations at Elks Field within the Kinsmen sports Complex as a significant collaborative achievement for the Moose Jaw community, emphasizing that the project goes beyond mere facility upgrades to foster character development in children through organized sports. The improvements, which included new LED lighting, updated concession facilities, and a centerpiece score clock, were made possible through a partnership between the City, the Kinsmen Club, and the Moose Jaw Minor football Association, with contributions totaling $235,000. Mayor Tolley, along with representatives from the Kinsmen Club and Minor Football, underscored the importance of community involvement in creating a vibrant, family-friendly environment designed for the youth. This revitalized space is seen as a long-term investment in the community, with hopes that it will inspire civic pride and the development of future leaders.
