Lafayette College, led by Dr. Robert Elliott, is launching a groundbreaking research initiative to explore the impact of advanced LED lighting on crop growth and quality. Utilizing Sollum Technologies’ dynamic LED solutions, the study will take place in a state-of-the-art lab in Easton, Pennsylvania, equipped with 12 independently controlled cells that mimic various growth conditions. Dr. Elliott highlights the flexibility of Sollum’s technology, which enables precise adjustments in temperature, humidity, COâ‚‚ levels, and more to yield repeatable and relevant results in agricultural science. This initiative, further enhanced by collaboration with Agritecture, aims to develop sustainable farming strategies by combining theoretical research with practical applications.
